\nThe Film shows different portraits of female musicians, working in the kontext of contemporary electronic music, i.e. HANIN ELIAS, SACHIKO M, PEOPLE LIKE US, MARINA ROSENFELD, KAFFE MATTHEWS and KEVIN BLECHDOM. The interviews center around questions of music production, which instruments are used by the musicians and what experiences they have made, producing the music. Only then, question about gender-roles are brought into the film.Why are there so few female musicians? What about the idea of a gender neutral machine music? And is it maybe not the lack of female musicians but mainly a question of their representation in the media and also within the electronic music scene which leads to the questions above? <\/p>\n
